Office Movers
To start your office move, you will get a quote from the company to know how much it will cost. This is based on a survey of the items to be moved.
Once you agree to the quote, you will receive an Order of Service, which is a document stating all of the details of the move, and be assigned a moving specialist.
On the moving day, the movers will load all your items into their truck. If you asked them to pack for you, they would have come before the move to pack all designated items. They’ll give you a Bill of Lading that lists all of the items they’re moving. As they unload your items into your new office, check each item off this list.
You’ll complete the move by doing a walkthrough of all of the items unloaded into your new office and checking for damage. If there are no issues to report, you will confirm the completion of the move with the team leader.

Office Moving FAQ
What Are the Key Steps in the Office Moving Process?
How Much Does It Typically Cost to Hire Office Movers?
The cost of hiring office movers can vary based on the type and distance of the move. For in-building moves, where items are relocated within the same building or complex, prices typically range from $500 to $3,000. For local moves, which involve relocating an office within the same city or around Colorado, costs can range from $2,000 to $10,000. Long-distance moves, where an office is moved to a different state, can range from $5,000 to $20,000 or more, depending on the distance and the volume of items to be transported.
Exodus Moving & Storage offers competitive pricing tailored to the specific needs of each move. Whether it’s an in-building shift, a local relocation, or a long-distance move, we provide transparent pricing without hidden fees by providing an in-depth survey of your items to give an accurate estimate, which is broken down so that you can see everything you’re paying for before agreeing to your move.
How Long Does an Office Move Usually Take?
The duration of an office move depends on the size of the office, the amount of equipment and furniture, and the distance between the old and new locations. In-building moves can often be completed within a day or two, given the proximity of the relocation. Local moves might take a day or a few, depending on the size of the office and the distance covered. Long-distance moves, however, can span several days to a week, or more, factoring in transportation time and potential logistical challenges.
With Exodus Moving & Storage, customers can expect efficiency at every step. Our experienced team ensures that in-building and local moves are executed swiftly, minimizing downtime. For long-distance relocations, we prioritize timely delivery, ensuring that businesses can resume operations as soon as possible.
What Precautions Are Taken to Protect Office Equipment During a Move?
Protecting office equipment during a move should be at the front of your mover’s mind. They should use quality packing materials, such as bubble wrap, shrink wrap, padded blankets, and sturdy boxes, to safeguard delicate equipment. Specialized crates or containers can be used for particularly fragile items. Additionally, moving equipment like dollies and hand trucks should be employed to transport heavy items safely. It’s also essential to label boxes clearly, indicating if contents are fragile or need to be kept upright.
Exodus Moving & Storage prioritizes the safety of your office equipment. Our team is trained in the best packing and moving practices, ensuring that every item, from computers to office chairs, is handled with the utmost care. Our use of high-quality packing materials, including shrink wrap and pallets, and equipment guarantees that your office belongings reach their destination in pristine condition.
What Credentials Should Reliable Office Movers Possess?
Reliable office movers should possess the necessary credentials to ensure the safety and security of your belongings during the relocation process. One of the primary credentials to look for is the USDOT license, which indicates that the mover is authorized to transport goods across state lines. Additionally, for those operating within the state of Colorado, a CO PUC license is essential, ensuring that the mover complies with state-specific regulations and can move you around Colorado.
Exodus Moving & Storage understands the importance of these credentials and ensures that we are always up to date with the necessary licenses and certifications. Our USDOT license number is 70719, and our CO PUC license number is HHG-00071. We also hold General Liability and Workers Comp insurance.
Will Movers Provider Packing Services for My Office Relocation?
When considering office relocation, one of the primary concerns for businesses is the packing process. Proper packing is crucial to ensure that office equipment, furniture, and sensitive documents are transported safely and securely. A reliable moving company should offer an option for comprehensive packing services tailored to the unique needs of office relocations. This includes providing quality packing materials, specialized packing techniques for delicate items, and an organized approach to ensure easy unpacking at the new location.
Exodus Moving & Storage offers a full range of packing services designed specifically for office relocations as an add-on to our office moving services. How Do I Ensure Minimal Business Disruption During an Office Move?
Ensuring minimal business disruption during an office move requires careful planning and coordination. It’s essential to choose a moving date that aligns with the company’s operational needs, such as weekends or off-peak hours. However, keep in mind that not all movers offer these options. Communication is also crucial; informing employees and clients about the move well in advance can help manage expectations and reduce potential internal disruptions.
Exodus Moving & Storage is well aware of the challenges businesses face during relocation. We work closely with our customers to develop a customized moving plan that minimizes operational disruptions with flexible scheduling on weekends and evenings. When you move with us, you will be assigned a moving specialist who will be able to work with you to fit the move to match your business needs.
What Insurance Coverage Do Office Movers Provide?
Insurance coverage, known in the moving industry as Moving Valuation, is a critical aspect of the moving process, providing protection against potential damages or losses during transit. Government regulations mandate that all movers must offer a basic coverage of 60 cents per pound per item, known as Limited Liability Coverage. This coverage is typically provided at no additional cost. However, for those seeking more comprehensive protection, most movers offer Full Value Replacement. This coverage ensures full reimbursement, repair, or replacement of damaged items. Additionally, items valued at over $100 per pound can be declared as Items of Extraordinary Value.
Exodus Moving & Storage prioritizes the safety and security of our customers’ belongings. We adhere to government regulations by offering Limited Liability Coverage. However, understanding the diverse needs of our customers, we also provide options for Full Value Replacement and provisions for Items of Extraordinary Value. Our commitment to offering comprehensive insurance options reflects our dedication to ensuring peace of mind for our customers during the moving process.
