At Exodus Moving and Storage we are very patriotic. We are committed to supporting those who support our freedom. On this 4th of July we simply can’t help but be thankful for the red, white and blue.
In 1776 five people were appointed to create a draft about freedom. The colonies sought separation from Great Britain and Robert Livingston, John Adams, Roger Sherman and Benjamin Franklin joined Thomas Jefferson to write what is now known as the Declaration of Independence. And while it was actually signed on the second of July instead of the 4th, on parchment instead of paper, this historic document is now held as a symbol of freedom in our great country. In a well known letter written by Adams to his wife:
“The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”
Today as always, we are proud to be Americans and proud to be a company based in this great nation. We believe that the US was founded on some very important ideas about freedom. And throughout the year we are happy to support those who are making life better for the military members and family who give up so much to protect that freedom.
A nonprofit dedicated to helping military families to reconnect and heal from war after long periods of being disconnected from loved ones.
Colorado Hire Patriots
An organization dedicated to finding ex-military great jobs to help them get back to civilian life after times of service.
A charity created by SEAKR Engineering that supports families who have lost loved ones by raising and donating funds to them to help them mend their lives.
So this year as you are BBQing with family and friends, setting off fireworks and hopefully doing what Adams referred to as “pomp and parade”, we would like to encourage you to take the celebration one step further. We support the above organizations because we believe in this great country of ours. If you haven’t taken a look at them to see how you can get involved, we would like to invite you to do so.
From the Exodus family to yours, Happy Independence Day!
At Exodus, we are proud to be an American moving and storage company. Concerned participants in the communities in which we live and work, we are not only premier movers in Colorado but grateful citizens of a great country. Every day, US military soldiers come back from various assignments all over the globe. They have trained to dutifully and selflessly serve our country and to defend the freedoms we take advantage of daily.
The military is an amazing place to learn about hard work, discipline and focus. We feel these attributes along with an overriding spirit of loyalty are just a few of the traits that make our company so successful. We currently have the wonderful opportunity to expand our organization. In an effort to support these fine men and women, Exodus has become increasingly committed to hiring veterans to be a part of our team. Over the next couple of years of our expansion, we plan to hire 25-300 new employees with an emphasis of up to 70% being those who have previously served in our military.
Hire Patriots, Colorado
Originally founded to support Marines who had returned from war to find financial and personal hardship of all kinds, this organization started out with a truly grass roots beginning. In 2004 Mark and Tori Baird had a vision of creating a network that would bring much needed resources to veterans who were attempting to transition back into civilian life. In response to a need they saw and felt must be addressed, they sold their house and used the proceeds to build what is now known as Hire Patriots. This 501C3 web-based support medium has grown in leaps and bounds and is now one of the largest networks for transitional military support in the US.
Colorado Hire Patriots focuses on all aspects of re-assimilation into everyday life back at home. This includes not only the practical financial aspects but the emotional ones as well. Creating a forum for day job and full time work placements through job boards, listings and job fairs as well as marriage retreats and trauma support resources is just the beginning of the work done by this organization. At Exodus, we are proud to partner with them not only through the direct hire of veterans but to extend our volunteer hours and word of mouth support to their worthwhile events. In cooperation with this organization in addition to the Rocky Mountain Veterans Alliance and the SEAKR Foundation, we are excited to be a part of making a positive impact towards the promotion of patriotism in our community.
There is nothing casual about the casualties of war. And when a soldier gives their life for their country, there is surely no greater a sacrifice. But as those left behind attempt to recover emotionally from such a loss, often they are also plagued by the practical difficulties of financial turmoil. While the military attempts to supplement this monetary loss, very often, these payments come up short leaving grieving families with nowhere to turn.
That’s why we support SEAKR.
The SEAKR Foundation is a unique, private non-profit organization dedicated to supporting military families whose spouse or parent was killed in action while serving our country.
On October 8, 2010 the SEAKR Foundation is holding their annual dinner and silent auction to raise awareness and funds. With a fantastic cause and program, we will celebrate the induction of 5 new Colorado families now supported by the SEAKR Foundation.

“SEAKR Foundation 1st Annual Fundraising Event”
At Exodus Moving and Storage, we believe that corporations have a responsibility and a duty to give back to the community. It is our honor to be involved with the SEAKR Foundation, a non-profit group dedicated to providing much needed aid to the families of Colorado soldiers tragically killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are proud to have the opportunity to co-sponsor the First Annual SEAKR Foundation Event on October 8th. There will be a silent auction, fine dinning, and some very special speakers, all held at the exquisite Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver.
