Holiday Storage – a picture is worth 1,000 words

When storing those elaborate holiday decorations, do yourself a favor and take photos as you go through the dis-assembly process.  This will cut down your assembly time drastically next year when you’ve forgotten what the decoration that mini-broom goes on, and how it’s attached.

Photographs will also remind you of how you got the amazing look from the leaves and how they were arranged, or why you might want to try something different with the scarecrow this year.

Make sure to label boxes not only by by what is in them, but the QUANTITY and in as much detail as possible – a box labeled ‘table decorations’ is much less useful than one labeled ‘full set of 8 orange and brown silk placemats and napkins w/ matching tablecloth and chargers’.
