Best Denver and Fort Collins Farmer’s Markets
Springtime is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy nature. It’s also the perfect time to check out what local farmers are producing at some of Denver’s best farmer’s markets. Since Denver is an active town, you’ll find a lot of different farmer’s markets strewn throughout the area. This list includes some of the most popular spots to pick up local veggies, fruits, and all kinds of other goodies – take a look!

1. Belmar Fresh Market: from June 7th to September 27th, you can check out Belmar Fresh Market located between Wadsworth and Alameda Aves. If you get there early enough, you can check out the pancake breakfast too – and some seriously good eats.
2. Highlands Ranch Farmers Market: this market is filled with vegetables from farms that surround the Denver area, and you’ll find some fresh baked goods at this market too. The market is open from May 4th to October 26th and operates on Sundays only.
3. City Park Esplanade Market: if you don’t want to drive out to Highlands Ranch, you can stay right in the city and still get your market goods by visiting City Park Esplanade on Sundays from June 1st to October 26th.
4. Cherry Creek Market: either go to the City Park Esplanade Market on Sunday or go to the Cherry Creek Market on Saturday, but doing both will result in a lot of repeats (these markets have roughly the same vendors). No matter which ones you choose, though, there are plenty of delicious fresh vegetables and other local foods to go around.
Since Exodus Moving and Storage is active in both communities that we work in (Fort Collins and Denver), we’d also like to encourage you to check out the Fort Collins and Loveland Farmers Markets that happen Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from May 4thof the summer season. Come and see what Fort Collins and Loveland bakers, farmers, and craftspeople have in store for you!
Your Own Little Garden
Whether you live in an apartment with a balcony, rent out a community plot, or have a large backyard, you can grow some of your own vegetables on your own. There are plenty of websites and guides to help you get things started. All you need is some earth, some time, and some plants – the rest is all about love, care, and the proper gardening techniques. Or, you can simply sign up for your local CSA during the summer months when things are really in bloom.
