What is the Standard Policy on Items Damaged or Lost During the Move?
Most moving companies offer two types of valuation for your belongings. Government regulation requires all movers offer Limited Liability Coverage, which will provide you with 60 cents per pound per item of coverage. Many movers will offer you additional coverage for an additional charge in the form of Full Value Protection, which covers the full repair or replacement of damaged items, or a cash return for the value of the item, at the mover’s discretion.
